How can we stay grounded in our identity along our journeys as creatives?
In this episode of the Live Creatively podcast, I chat with a dear friend of mine, Nicte Cuevas.
Fast Friends!
This is a photo of Nicte and I when we first connected over lunch in Florida 6 years ago.
I’m grateful for women like Nicte that God has so kindly placed in my life! At lunch that day, we ended up talking at the restaurant for over 3 hours and totally lost track of time.
We later found out as we were leaving that the restaurant had closed and the staff was so nice they just let us stay.
Nicte is such a gift and a bright light! I know you are going to LOVE getting to know her in this special episode of Live Creatively.
What does it mean to Nicte to Live Creatively?
“Living creatively is about allowing yourself to go through the steps to grow internally, where you explore and grow and learn who you are…and celebrate that person that you are. Live your life in a way that you can feel your self-expression is okay. And learn that not everyone will like it, but then there will be people who will love you for who you are. Just keep showing up as you are. Keep experimenting. Keep trying. And it’s okay when you make mistakes because I promise you that those mistakes actually make you a lot stronger than when everything goes ‘pretty and sunshine.’ So, embrace the journey. Really just take a moment to breathe in your experiences and remind yourself as much as you can of all that you’ve accomplished despite your struggles…”
